Organize your kitchen before Christmas!

Hey there! Did the chaos of hosting Thanksgiving at your house make you feel overwhelmed, stressed, and maybe even embarrassed? Were you others wandering around the kitchen trying to find the perfect pan for turkey, a bigger bowl for gravy, or that one kitchen gadget that would have been a GAMECHANGER for the mashed potatoes? Worry not friend! We are here to help!

Ready to conquer that clutter in your kitchen and pantry? Here are some super easy and totally doable tips to get things organized and make your space feel like a dream before Christmas!

• Start Small, Win Big:

Begin with one area at a time. Tackling small sections helps you stay focused and motivated to declutter without feeling overwhelmed. If it helps, draw a map or make a list of the areas you need to tackle. This will help make sure you know where you left off, and get it all completed!

• Marie Kondo Vibes:

Channel your inner Marie Kondo – if it doesn't spark joy or hasn't been used in ages, it might be time to bid it adieu. Be ruthless with those items that no longer serve a purpose. If you struggle with this, go with the one year rule! If it hasn't been used in a year, it's time for a new home! (Whether that is the donate bag or in the trash can!)

• Categorize Like a Boss:

Group similar items together. Whether it's utensils, spices, or canned goods, categorizing makes finding things a breeze. Some of my favorite categorizations for the kitchen include: dinnerware, bakeware, serviceware, pots & pans, slicers, smashers, and appliances!

• Shelf Love:

Optimize your shelf space with bins, baskets, or shelf risers. They're game-changers for maximizing vertical space and keeping things neat. We have all our favorites linked here:

• Clear Containers FTW:

Invest in clear containers for your pantry staples. Not only do they look sleek, but they also make it easy to identify what you have and when it's time for a restock. (Don't worry, our fav clear containers are linked above!)

• Labeling Magic:

Labels aren't just for the super organized – they're for everyone! Label your containers to avoid any "what's-this-mystery-flour" situations. Areas in the pantry can be labeled more "flexible" to account for running low, or brand new Costco restocks! Instead of labeling fruit snacks, applesauce, and goldfish individually - label them all as "SNACKS" so you can adjust if you get graham crackers instead of goldfish next time!

• Fridge Facelift:

Don't forget about the fridge! Keep it tidy by placing similar items together and tossing out anything expired or old.

• Consistent Maintenance:

Make decluttering a habit. Spend a few minutes each day or week maintaining the organization to prevent future chaos.

• Fail to Plan, Plan to Fail:

During the holidays, it's especially important to know what foods you have on hand versus what is needed. Make an inventory and keep it updated as we creep to the holidays. Grab our pantry & fridge inventory template here:

• Celebrate Your Success:

Admire your hard work and celebrate the organized glory of your kitchen. It's a space where you create magic – now it's organized magic!

Remember, it's all about progress, not perfection. Take it step by step, and soon you'll have a kitchen and pantry that's both functional and Insta-worthy! You've got this! ✨
